The Bolton News: Vote for Bolton’s best council workers Vote for Bolton’s best council workers

READERS of The Bolton News have the chance to choose who will be named Bolton Council’s most helpful team or worker.

Previous finalists of the Best Customer Care award have included bin men who found £200 worth of stolen presents in a bin and handed them into police — ensuring that a family’s Christmas was not ruined.

Last year’s winner was Kayley Mabon, a children and families worker, who runs different groups at Little Lever Children Centre.

She was praised for the fun, relaxing and supportive sessions she runs for children. Parents praised her highly for her “get up and go attitude” and for always having a smile on her face.

The Bolton’s Best Awards take place every year and recognise the council’s top staff.

Other categories include best team worker, unsung hero, lifetime achievement award, best manager, best young worker and best team.

So do you know of a member of council staff who has given outstanding service or gone beyond the call of duty to help the public?

To nominate a council worker, fill in the form from today's paper, or download it here: boltonsbestvotingform.pdf.

You can then print it and send it to the address on the form.

You can can also get this form from the Bolton Council website and email it to boltonsbest@bolton.gov.uk or post it to Bolton’s Best Awards, Corporate Organisational Development Team, Bolton Council, The Castle Hill Centre, Castleton Street, Bolton, BL2 2JW.

Nominations close on Friday, September 20.

My brother worked for the council,he was diligent, hard working, honest and loyal. He also told me about some of the people he worked with, both managers and workers.Skiving, drinking on the job, larceny, lazyness etc.So even though I tend to agree with your comment I hope you'll make one exeption.thank you,you are a decent chap. One more point,my brother hated his FATBOSS,still does as a matter of fact.
