VERNON Kay and wife Tess Daly were among celebrity supporters at a charity event hosted by Prince Charles.
Bolton TV star Vernon and Tess are Prince’s Trust ambassadors, along with interior designer to the stars Kelly Hoppen, rapper Tinie Tempah, TV presenter Philip Schofield and singer Laura Mvula, who were also at London’s Savoy Hotel.
Guests at the event, which raised £1.2 million for the charity last year, saw Prince Charles pay tribute to a former drug smuggler turned entrepreneur who transformed his life with the help of trust and has donated £100,000 to the charity.
Prince Charles said: “Duane (Jackson) is a classic example of what the business start-up programme can do. The Prince’s Trust has been going for 38 years now and it really is what I always hoped to create all those years ago.”
