JOE Riley's injury issues struck again as he hobbled out of the development squad's 1-0 win over Skelmersdale United last night.
The full-back, who had appeared as a second-half substitute in the first team's 2-1 defeat at Rotherham only 24 hours earlier, was brought off as a precautionary measure with 20 minutes remaining at the West Bank College Stadium.
Riley spent much of last season out of action with a broken foot, making just two senior appearances over the season.
Josh Vela's first-half penalty settled the contest, though keeper Jay Lynch needed to be on top form to repell the Evo Stik North champions on several occasions.
Gary Fraser, Hayden White and Sanmi Odelusi also appeared for Jamie Fullarton's side.
