I WAS driving behind a bus on the evening of Sunday, March 23, at about 4.45pm, heading towards Bury, just at the start of the deristricted zone in Longsight Road, near the petrol station.
I spotted an elderly lady at a bus stop waving her arms to tell the bus driver to stop, but he just carried on and drove right past her.
Maybe it’s not in service, I thought, but then, a few stops later, where the Old Duke pub used to be, he indicated and stopped to let people on. So I pulled up beside him and asked if he realised what he had just done.
“That's not a bus stop any more,” he said.
“But it was an old lady with what looked like a heavy bag and it’s absolutely freezing and you just left her there,” I said.
“You go and pick her up then if you’re so concerned,” he said.
What a disgusting attitude and what a horrible man to be doing that job.
