THE recent Bolton News’ headline: “Vintage clothing boutique to open in Bolton” was possibly a little over the top considering it’s basically a second-hand clothes shop selling people’s unwanted clothes.
But I do hope they succeed.
For Bolton Labour Council to give a grant of up to £20,000 so a private company can set up in Bolton is a disgrace. People can’t afford to heat their homes, are using food banks and are finding bills hard to pay such as the Council Tax that Labour also put up when they need not have. This is not what taxpayers’ money is for. Bolton town centre is a white elephant after too many years of bad decisions by all parties. The Market Hall was the heart of Bolton shopping and they ripped its heart out.
