THE Americans are currently going cray-zee about Heather Mills' dancing skills on the US version of "Strictly Come Dancing".

You might argue that it says more about them than it does about her, although - standing a long way back - her physical skills are admirable given her disability.

Just a word of warning, though, Heather, about your newfound "fame" across the pond: it can vanish as quickly as it has appeared.

TV audiences, especially in America, are notoriously fickle. Yesterday's heroine is tomorrow's villain and the ongoing divorce proceedings from Sir Paul McCartney might just throw up a few clouds to dampen your bright horizon.

And surely someone who goes onto several TV talk shows and gives magazine interviews insisting how publicity-shy she is and how the media has hounded her must eventually be identified as being a fully paid up resident of La-la Land?
