IN response to your reader's letter, "Roll on the ban", Jackie Webb, will the reader be as excited when the Government introduces a clean air tax? After all, we have to pay for clean water.
Why not give the Government the excuse to clobber us with another way of ripping us off - "you've got your clean air, now you can pay for it".
Why not ban tobacco altogether for, say, 12 months, and see where the Government will recoup the tax shortfall? That should put the cat amongst the pigeons.
