WITH this year's superb World Cup currently taking place in Russia and England doing so well, may I take this opportunity to say how relieved everyone at the Victoria Hall is that our forthcoming Eagley Band and Smithills Community Victoria Hall concert in less than two weeks, on Saturday, July 7, at 7.30pm, cannot possibly clash with England playing!
Our latest gala concert is entitled Movies, Musicals And Miscellany and it is a massive relief that England cannot possibly be playing at the same time.
All of us taking part want to watch the football in any case and whatever happens over the week, happily England cannot possibly clash whilst we will hopefully have a thousand members of the audience singing Les Miserables with us!
