I HAVE recently found a rather strange clump of greyish translucent gelatinous globs at the side of my garden pond.
The globs are too large to be frog spawn, although the consistency appears to be similar. I have searched on the internet and found a couple of theories but neither match the exact appearance of this stuff - star jelly being one of them, heron vomit (after swallowing a frog approaching spawning time) being the other.
Anyone with knowledge of this?
