NOW in my late 70s, I have seen at least 10 performances of "A Christmas Carol".

None could compare with the excellent production presently at the Octagon Theatre in Bolton, where the reformation of Scrooge is most clearly presented by the hard-working, multi-talented cast.

Their splendid use of an interesting, complex set is excellent; the changing of costume at speed, awesome.

This isn't just a show for children. It is a must for grumpy old men, like me. See it if you can.

To those involved in the production in any way, my sincere thanks. God bless them, every one.
