BURY singer and actress Suzanne Shaw has been named as one of the clutch of celebs strapping on skates for the new series of "Dancing on Ice."
It starts on Sunday and it would be great to see the former Hear'Say singer doing well in this chilly contest of grace and athleticism.
She's joining pop singer Gareth Gates, tennis ace Greg Rusedski, actress Linda Lusardi and singer Samantha Mumba in the programme, which starts on Sunday, and the best of luck to her.
This is a real test not only of dancing skill but also of grit and determination as the novices are asked to perform increasingly difficult routines.
I don't know about you, but the only thing I can "perform" on the ice is a back-flip. And that's not done on purpose, so I'm in awe of the way the contestants improve and master the tricky moves and dances.
Let's hope Suzanne pleases the public and the judges, and gives a really smooth performance.
