WITH reference to Iain Camick's letter, "It's time to put British workers first" (January 4), Mr Camick seems to ignore what is actually going on at the moment.
Let me take you back to the 1950s, Mr Camick, when British people refused to carry out what they perceived as low-paid, dead-end jobs.
As a result of British people not coming forward to do these jobs, people from the West Indies, who were prepared to do these jobs, were invited over to the UK.
Does this not ring any bells for you, Mr Camick?
There are over two million British people signing on unemployed.
Why have these British people not taken the jobs that you are claiming are taken by Polish people and other economic migrants?
Your arguments don't add up in any way whatsoever, Mr Camick.
If British people won't do certain jobs, you can't blame people who are prepared to do these jobs, can you?
