THANK goodness that two quick-thinking girls were able to save the life of five year-old Sam Marsden, pictured centre, when he almost accidentally hanged himself from a rope swing.
There is no doubt that Darcy Lever youngsters Jennifer Nuttall, aged 10, pictured left, and 11 year-old Atlanta Linning did a fantastic job and it doesn’t bear thinking what might have happened had they not come upon the entangled child.
But, was I the only one to question what a five year-old child was doing out on his own in the middle of a wood at 7pm?
