I shop at the Reebok as it’s free to park with good access to the shops.
I would encourage all of Bolton's town folk to do the same — or to to the Trafford Centre. It’s a day out and it’s free to park, but at least when shopping we have a choice.
At the Royal Bolton Hospital there is no choice. You can’t say, I’ll go to X or Y, it’s free to park there — you are a captive market.
Who owns the hospitals? We do.
Who paid for them? We did.
Who continues to pay for them? We do.
So if we’re paying for them already via tax, National Insurance etc, why are we paying twice for the car park?
The whole parking issue is a money-making scam by the guardians of our town to further rip-off its people.
I ask the MPs of Bolton, do you really care? But I don’t suppose I’ll get an answer.
