WITH all this fuss surrounding whether or not we should celebrate St George’s Day, I was amused to see the results of those who did.
I came across a group of about six men, sporting St George hats and flags, one wearing a T-shirt sporting a St George cross, staggering through the town centre and shouting and swaying. I wouldn’t have liked to have seen them later in the evening.
All had clearly enjoyed their day, no doubt marking the occasion in traditional English style — by quaffing gallons of traditional English ale.
