MALCOLM Pittock’s extreme views are well known, so it was nice to see them somewhat stultified by the common sense in Simon Topliss’ letter, called “Outlaws lose right to protection” (April 17).
While Mr Pittock draws comfort from President Obama’s dream of a nuclear-free world, I would still like to ask him if he would kindly prove himself right, and his critics wrong, by telling us what his own pacifism, and his support for Stop the War, have achieved so far.
Furthermore, what success has CND had since the Aldermaston protests?
Bigoted rhetoric on its own is absolutely worthless.
