RE the article on the costs imposed by allegedly not following the correct protocol in carrying out repairs to the roof of St Margaret’s Church and subsequent letters.
I would just clarify the financial details for you as to the costs imposed by the one-person consistory court. The costs imposed are £100 to be paid personally by the Rev D French, £100 to be paid personally by the Churchwarden B Abram and a further £145 to be paid by the PCC. Total costs are £345.
Since we are taking further advice, which could itself possibly result in a legal challenge, it would be totally inappropriate for me to comment further other than to clarify the factual details.
