WHAT a brilliant present for spurned wife Jo Wood!
Her Rolling Stone ex-husband, 62 year-old Ronnie, left his wife of many years for a Russian woman younger than his daughter.
The 18-month affair now seems to be over, but Jo — who proved her stoic spirit if not her footwork skills on “Strictly Come Dancing” — has invited him round for Christmas Day.
She says it’s not a reconciliation and she is still selling the couple’s £13 million mansion and getting on with her new life, but she wanted to give daughter Leah a proper send off before she moves to Australia in the new year.
I’m ashamed to say that, in her circumstances, Ronnie’s Christmas meal would be cold, overdone and generally unappealing, and I would smile sweetly throughout at this small revenge. Plainly, I’m not as nice a person as Jo.
