REGARDING “Dogs should not be let off lead”.
I am a regular walker in Moss Bank Park, and totally agree with Tracy Ryder, I too have lost count of the times I have been told by irresponsible pet owners that their dog “is soft”, “won’t harm me”, or “is being friendly” — usually when one of them is baring their teeth or jumping up and ruining my clothes with muddy paws.
Dogs should be on leads, not everyone is comfortable with animals. I would prefer to enjoy walking without being mauled, and this has happened various times. If dog owners want to walk their dogs on the park that’s fine, but keep them on leads.
Moss Bank Park is often where people let their dogs off leads, usually so they can run off and leave their mess where the owner cannot or prefers not to see.
Let’s see more dog wardens on the park please!
