The story "Town Centre Traffic Chaos" (Bolton Evening News, June 7) comes as no surprise.
Bolton Council seems determined to aggravate the motorist.
Traffic jams are commonplace.
Complaints to the council about the congestion on Bury Road prompted the response that the road is adequate for the volume of traffic on it.
Excessively high speed ramps continue to be inflicted on us, despite the council being aware that problems and dangerous driving can result.
Car parking spaces are sacrificed for new office blocks, apartments and new town centre shopping developments, in a town where empty shops already exist.
Surely the message is clear, the council's policy appears to be obvious get rid of us motorists while you look after the buses, give them bus lanes!
My final advice is don't bother to phone the council they often don't respond.
Come on Bolton Council, you have a badge for being a good council let's see the proof of it!
