I have just completed my second book called "What Next".
It deals with life in the 1930s and 40s and one chapter is about the time I spent in Bolton, some four months in 1943, following my initial training in Bradford. This was at Bolton Technical College, where I completed a training course and afterwards I was sent to an RAF station near Cambridge.
In Bolton I lived at Chadwick House and have been sent a photograph of Chadwick Orphanage which was located there previously.
I wonder if any readers have kept photographs of this period. I am particularly interested in less formal photographs rather than buildings, maybe of some airmen stationed in Bolton.
I would very much appreciate receiving photographs they can send me and will give the usual acknowledgements in the book.
