REGARDING Geoffrey Breakell’s letter on May 20.

How insulting to the many other excellent universities around the country to state that Oxford and Cambridge are the cream of the crop.

Perhaps Mr Breakell could enlighten us as to the nature of the degrees obtained by the cream of the crop who now lead this country, and how they will help in practical terms besides the old boy network.

I believe that Burgess, Blunt and other traitors were part of the above mentioned cream.

By the way, I am not ashamed to say that I voted Conservative, for their stance on the EU and the much-abused Human Rights Act, and not for the watered-down versions that are now on offer.
