RE: Plan for stable (The Bolton News, February 28).
Unbelievable!
How stupid do people like the “applicant” think members of the public are?
Should they be given permission to replace the stables with a bungalow, are the horses going to live in a bedroom?
If there aren’t going to be any horses in the future, why not just knock down the stables? Then there will be nothing for the thieves and vandals to target.
If this, as suggested, is to deter the criminal element, why not employ a night security person?
It will be much cheaper than building a bungalow and solve at least one unemployment problem.
Of course, this is a preconceived plan.
Only someone as naive as the applicant would believe it wasn’t!
As the angry residents say, this must not be allowed to progress because, as soon as it does, the planning department will be inundated with similar applications.
Stop it now before it gets daft.
