R. SWINDELLS (Tuesday March 1) says the Royal Bolton Hospital is far better than six years ago.
How does he or she know that? Is he or she on the wards on a daily basis?
I met David Fillingham, the chief executive, some two years ago following a complaint as to how a loved one had been treated.
He agreed that the hospital had let us down badly and lessons would be learned as to future treatment of patients.
Judging from recent correspondents to your paper, things have changed very little where vulnerable old people are concerned.
I find this very concerning and think there should be an investigation of some sort into this area of care.
Given our experience, my family also say they will never go near this hospital.
