AS a disabled person who has to use a wheelchair to be able to go out, and always needs someone with me to help, I find Bolton Council's proposal to make blue badge holders pay for parking astonishing.
I used to come into Bolton regularly, but since the chaotic road works at the Trinity Street/Bridgeman Street/Bradshawgate/Manchester Road junction I have been going shopping in different areas.
If these charges come into effect I will not be coming into Bolton shopping again.
No wonder the Trafford Centre and Middlebrook are so popular. At least you can park without the dreaded wardens telling you that your badge is upside down.
Come on shop owners of Bolton, if you do not do something fast you will not have any customers to serve.
