ON Good Friday we took our two three-year-old grandchildren to see Peppa Pig.

Despite getting to the Market Place some 20 minutes before the first session, the queue was all the way round the first floor balcony. After 15 minutes one of Peppa Pig’s helpers told us we would not see Peppa Pig during the noon session and if we waited we would be half way round the balcony for the 1.30pm session.

So, we left with two very disappointed children. Surely it is unreasonable to expect the under-fives to queue for up to two hours.

It’s coming to something when retail organisations exploit the under-fives to get people into their premises. It would have been far better if Peppa Pig had walked around the Market Place to meet her fans.

I am sure I am not alone in of money raised was for cancer relief in one way or another.

I admit it is a good cause, but do other charities not deserve some support? I am sure Bolton has a lot of dog owners who love their pets and I am sure they could do something to raise funds for our dogs’ home in Bolton, which is always struggling for funds.

Remember, you could come back a dog in your next life.

Mr Perry Cambridge Road Lostock expressing my concerns as there must have been many more disappointed children on Friday.

It just goes to show that Peppa Pig is really just a Big Boar!
