I SAW the Passion Play in the town hall square on Saturday and what an impressive performance it was, helped by the nice weather. I remember thinking that Germany has Oberammergau. Now the North West has “Passion for Bolton”. It seems a shame that all that effort was put into one performance.
May I be so bold as to suggest we have this on a regular basis, say every three or four years.
By the way, this wasn’t the first Passion Play held in Bolton. The last one was in the early 60s — I just forget exactly when. It has been a long time and long overdue.
