IT is encouraging to learn of the progress being made in improving standards at Chorley New Road Primary School in Horwich. Recently several schools in Horwich have received recognition for their achievements, including St Catherine’s Primary and St Joseph’s High.
Only a few months ago Blackrod Primary School was hailed in a national newspaper as one of the best primaries in the country. It is a credit to the work of staff, pupils and all who support them that our local schools are able to receive such positive coverage.
On behalf of the people of Horwich and Blackrod I would like to express the gratitude of residents to all who contribute to the successful life of the schools which serve our local community.
