I REFER to the letter published in Tuesday’s edition relating to safety issue for cyclist.
The vast majority of cyclist not only wear bright clothing, we also have red lights on the rear of our bike. Unfortunately, for whatever reason some car drivers have a distinct disliking for cyclists. Only last year I was involved in a traffic accident whilst riding my bike on a bright sunny day, resulting in a broken elbow.
Most cyclist are also car drivers so are visually aware of other cyclist limitations on the road.
In Bolton, we should sfriendly, car drivers to cyclists and vice versa, let us all share the roads together.
