I AGREE with Mr Bill Colinson and his comments concerning the Maddie McCann situation.

There is a new publicity drive to be paid for from the public purse in an endeavour to find answers.

Over the years there are many other children that have gone missing under tragic circumstances. Do they not deserve the same sympathy, the same attention and the amounts of public funding that is being given to the McCanns?

Mr and Mrs McCann, both of whom are doctors as I have read, left their child unsupervised and unattended to party with friends.

Because of these circumstances, the tragedy is directly related to them.

If you do not have a baby sitter or a reliable minding service, you do not go out. You have a responsibility of care which should be uppermost at all times.

Is it a hope of our Government that they may gain favour by the use of the public purse in the manor. There are people in every country in the world suffering the same related tragic destruction of their future and of their beliefs.

I think it is time, not ever to forget, but to try and go forward.
