RE the Bolton Road closure. We live about 100 yards from the closure on the Atherton side My wife, who works in Bolton, has left her car parked on the Bolton side for the last three nights, legally and proper, for ease of getting to work, avoiding agonising trips via Westhoughton or Tyldesley.
The first night a wing mirror was snapped off and, on the third night, someone engraved the side of the car with a sharp implement.
We have to get through this colossal cock-up together. Stupid acts of vandalism will not help.
