EVERY day we hear about the loss of yet another service.
The headlines “Town’s Elderly Living in Poverty” (February 22) makes me wonder why we are sending so much money to so-called Third World Countries.
We are rapidly becoming just that ourselves.
It is disgraceful that our elderly have to suffer like this; facilities for disabled children are being axed, along with nursery provision and care homes.
As a nation we have to stand up to the shortsighted fools who make these decisions. We are all being fooled into believing these cuts are necessary, so why did we insist on giving money to India when they plainly stated they didn’t need it nor did they want it?
I am quite sure that when our MPs are elected they have to swear that they will always put the interest of our country first. If this is the case they are surely not doing.
