THE Bolton News (February 22) brought some great news for the people of Horwich in the shape of a £100,000 grant given by Bolton Council.
The job of how to spend the money will lead to great debate and rightly so. May I ask someone to define the term “danger junction”. As a user of the roads in Horwich I have never considered this particular junction (Lee Lane and Winter Hey Lane) as dangerous.
Sometimes frustrating.
Could the council produce some statistics to back up the claims and let us see if it is dangerous?
If not, maybe the money would be better spent elsewhere. Come on guys, £100,000 is an awful lot of money. Surely you can be a little more creative with your initial thoughts.
