THE Bank of England is at it again, providing money to the banks to the tune of £50 billion, making sure the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

If the Bank really wanted to help the economy, instead of giving £50 billion to the banks, it would be better if they were to give every household a sum of money to spend. That would put money directly into businesses, instead of the banks buying government bonds and increasing the debt. The Bank is keeping interest rates ridiculously low, which has an effect on people coming up to retirement and anyone on a fixed income with little savings.

Credit cards are a licence to steal money by the banks.

This Con/Dem Government is allowing banks to charge exceedingly higher rates when the bank rate is 0.5 per cent; this is a scandal. Are the MPs complaining? No, not even our Labour MPs. The Labour leader’s brother is paid £21,000 a day for every day’s work for a bank in the Middle East.

Nothing like a good socialist — sorry, new Labour.

What is happening to this country is a disgrace; MPs are still receiving excessive expenses. It costs the British taxpayer £5.8 million a year to subsidise the 19 bars and restaurants in Parliament.

Unless the people of Britain stand up to demand change, these parliamentarians will continue to abuse the population. They will continue to let the City of London make everyone into serfs again. It doesn’t seem to matter which party is in government, they seem to be hell bent on allowing the rich anything they want.
