GRAHAM Chadwick, Green Party candidate for Horwich North East, does his party no good by saying that pensioners have too much power at the ballot box.
He says pensioners tend to vote Tory (not this one!) To balance the power at the ballot box, Mr Chadwick says the Greens want to lower the voting age to 16, or even 15, presumably because they think this age group are more likely to vote Green.
I have a lot of respect for the Green Party, so much so that if they had put a candidate forward for the Bradshaw ward I might well have voted Green.
But how can anyone seriously support a party that wants to give the vote to children?
