I CAN see why Graham Chadwick, Green Party, might want to see under-18s given the vote. I suspect it’s because quite a lot of the multicultural junk that his party and perhaps he supports is being disseminated throughout our schools by highpowered trade unionists.

Saying that under-18s are expected to obey the law is hardly a reason to hand them a vote; everyone who is deemed to be responsible for their actions is expected to obey the law. Is Mr Chadwick suggesting we give the vote to 12-year-olds?

If Mr Chadwick thinks paying taxes should be the residing factor in being granted a vote, I would like to remind him that many 16 and all 15-year-olds remain in education, therefore don’t pay taxes. In fact, receiving a vote for paying taxes would seem to me to be a new manifestation of poll tax and we know how unpopular that was.

It isn’t difficult to understand why his party won a mock election last year at Bolton School. Maybe the result of that election would have been different if those pupils had been given an insight into how utterly contradictory Left wing green policy is.

As a candidate standing against Mr Chadwick in the current elections, I’ve studied his election flyer and nowhere on it do I see anything about England being overpopulated. Until we deal with this issue, along with immigration and asylum, it will be very hard to protect our greenbelt and countryside because more people will mean more houses.
