RE the letters which appeared in The Bolton News on February 8 and, more recently, on April 7, and also for other readers who have been the unfortunate victims of “Parking Eye” or similar.
A relative also became a victim of one of these parking companies but, after researching “unlawful car parking charges”, on the internet found these charges were not enforceable and were tantamount to bullying, as only the police and council have the legal authority to issue fines.
Moreover, all “appeals”
are turned down, even if a genuine mistake is argued. It is worthwhile to do some research on these companies and then draw your own conclusions.
