IT seems that Roy Greenhalgh (Page 6 story, May 10) is still delusional in clinging to the hope that the Greenwood Arms in Horwich can be resurrected Phoenix-like to the good old days of a pub on every corner.

This in spite of the fact that a large number of pubs are closing on a weekly basis because they can’t make a profit.

What makes Mr Greenhalgh believe that the Greenwood could be resurrected as a commercially viable business? Do they know something that none of the rest of us know?

I also suspect his hopes are being kept alive by the delay of the council who should have sorted this out months ago. Can we please have an end to this sterile argument?
