This week he surprised a youngster who had applied for the Wanderers job after Dougie Freedman left.
Nine-year-old Thomas Fielding wrote eloquently about the team's failings and outlined how he would turn things around at the club.
I gather he only missed out on the job because of Neil Lennon's Champions League experience.
