Should water and lemon cost £2?
THE fuss about whether a drink of hot water with lemon should cost £2 in a café is really not about the drink.
One unhappy customer took to TripAdvisor to criticise a York café and bistro about her experience but the owner fought back online, detailing exactly the costs involved including waiters’ wages.
Of course no drink is going to be as cheap out as at home.
That is something we all accept when we place an order.
It’s unfair to give anywhere a bad review on this basis because it’s unrealistic about what is basically a simple commercial transaction.
