IT’S hard to believe that a Milton Keynes school has banned whistles ending playtime because “aggressive” loud noises scare children.
This is reportedly happening here – although it had me checking the date for April 1 – and is probably another example of how we are over-protecting children from real life.
Not just children, either. Graduating students at the University of East Anglia now have to mime throwing their mortarboards in the air for photos because of risk of injury.
For goodness sake, we can’t all hide from potential “dangers” like these. Life is for the living. Just get on with it.
