ADULTS with special educational needs can have limited enjoyment and opportunities in life.
So when an organisation is providing popular and effective suitable courses, it seems particularly cruel to axe them. Yet, this is what is happening at Westhoughton Community Learning Centre.
Instead, the adults have been told they must travel to the other side of the town, to Brownlow Fold Community College, for any courses, which may not be practical for them all.
Surely, keeping open the Westhoughton Centre – the only post-16 provider locally – is the right thing for the area and for individuals who especially need this help?
