ALL the very best to the latest Bolton Lads and Girls Club venture in Westhoughton.
The famous local organisation, that does so much to help children of all ages, is opening a new £75,000 youth centre in the old primary school in Central Drive.
It will be led by experienced youth worker Karen Openshaw, formerly of Zac’s Youth Bar in Farnworth, and provides local youngsters with much-needed facilities and opportunities to enhance their lives via mentors, youth workers and volunteers.
It’s a brilliant project that deserves to do well, and let’s hope supporters and the local community aid its progress.
