It came almost as a relief - at least we have had a big reality check about what's in store for the rest of the season. A tough relegation battle.

Please, please, please Dougie - no more talk about a top six finish. Say this one more time in the next five months and you will deserve the sack.

Please, please, please Dougie - no more calling the players to the newspapers.

What you are really saying is "look, this is not my fault", when it is to a large extent (Owen Coyle was sacked because he lost the dressing room and blamed everyone but himself for Bolton's downward spiral).

Please, please, please Dougie - look at the league table.

Bolton have yet to beat any team currently in the top half of the table.

If our form drops to a point a game then we will deserve to be relegated.

Look at Peterborough last year, played 46, points 54 and relegated.

Look at Wolves, played 46, points 51 and relegated.

Only Bristol City, played 46, points 41 and relegated, averaged less than a point a game.

A realistic target could be 60 points and/or a top half finish.

This means winning 32 points from the remaining 20 games.

This means winning 9 and drawing 5.

We did it last year and you gave us hope and a little feel-good returned to the Reebok.

Any other target must take a backburner for now.

It is also unrealistic and and delusional to expect anything more than to get the fans, players and management back on side.
