SO Labour plans to cap child benefits, if elected in 2015, and keep them capped until 2017.

This is a further 12 months longer than the dreadful coalition Government intended to do. This is Labour’s attempt to appear to be just as tough on benefits as the Tories.

Again Labour signs up to neo-liberal policies, like the Conservatives and Lib-dems have been doing these past four years.

Policies that attack the poor and most vulnerable in our community. These people did not cause the deficit, the bankers and successive governments failings did.

Labour at its conference also announced the raising of the minimum wage from £6.50p to £8 over the lifetime of the next Parliament. What this actually means is an increase of £1.50p per hour over a five-year period.

This is quite simply is not good enough. The minimum wage needs raising now to a living wage of £7.65p per hour, and as the Green Party suggests it should be, at the very least £10 per hour by 2020. More money in people’s pockets means more to spend, which in turn creates jobs, and helps our economy.

The attacks on ordinary people by the three main parties must end, and the wealthy need to clamped down on, by not allowing them to avoid, and evade paying their fair share in tax.

Profits made in this country by big business, should mean paying fair taxes due in this country. At least £120 billion goes uncollected in the UK through loopholes.
