ONE can only laugh at the hypocrisy of readers and letter writers in the Bolton News at times.
Repeatedly we hear how awful the town centre is "because there are too many charity shops." But all of a sudden charity shops have become in-vogue through the charity canopy now it's gone.
Which is it Bolton News readers? Are charities in the town centre good or not?
Let's be honest, it might be a nice idea, but every time a charity uses it, it looks awful. Clothes and bric-a-brac all over the place. I don't know any other town in the UK that would allow this kind of thing in their prestigious square. I for one am glad to see the back of it.
