I WISH to air my frustration at First Manchester buses.

Like many other people I rely on public transport to get from A to B. We take buses for granted and yes they can be delayed due to various incident, or just bad management. First has the contract to run rail and bus services but it is far from a good service.

On Friday, February 13, I waited at a bus stop on Manchester road, Bolton, from 4.15pm until 4.45pm to go back to Farnworth and the single decker 524 turned up full. The 37 arrived at 4.45pm also full.

People were standing on the stairs, one person fell, fortunately they were ok. Passengers were packed in like sardines and not a number 8 in sight.

Buses are running two together on the number 8ad 37 route. This has gone too far. People are late for work and appointments and this is not fair on the public who are expected to use this bus service.

What are the inspectors doing about this. nothing it seems.

The vehicles are filthy, you can't see through the windows so you miss your stop.

First bus you need to get your act together.
