I WAS very saddened to read about the Royal Bolton Hospital.
My experience on the Orthopaedic ward could not have been more different. Everyone from the the surgeon to the cleaner was concerned for my welfare and well-being. (I was even told why a sandwich would be my best option for a post-operative snack!) The co-ordination between the various departments (the ward, the doctors, physiotherapy and the pharmacy) was also outstanding. However much I had paid I could not have had better treatment — the NHS at its very best. I knew that the Orthopaedic department had an excellent reputation and my visit has just confirmed this.
