HOW I agree with the letters received on the letters page about the proposed change to the centre of town.
How they can justify the change to the Town Hall and Cheadle Square is beyond me.
We have the most beautiful Town Hall any town could have and Cheadle Square is an oasis in a run down area. I agree with one writer who suggests that Moor Lane would be the place to build the student accommodation as we have not been told what they will put on Moor Lane when it has been cleared although I did hear that a supermarket would be built there.
