REGARDING the letter 'Labour needs to live in the world' by D Arthur (May 6)
I guess D Arthur is just like the millions of other people who believe the deficit myth that has been completely manufactured by the right wing press and the Conservative party.
As I mentioned a week or so ago in The Bolton News, the former Governor of the Bank of England who is an expert on the countries finances very clearly stated that our economic crisis is not the fault of the previous government, similarly many other experts have also confirmed this.
The economic crisis in this country as with every other country in the world that is experiencing imposed austerity measures is a result of a crooked and unregulated banking sector, I can't believe that people are so short sighted that they haven't noticed the deterioration of the global economy since the credit crunch, and further more for austerity measures to be metered out across Europe and people still blame the previous government for our economic situation is utterly ridiculous.
